Stratton ABC Foundation: Art & Craft Workshops

ArtSpeak.org works regularly with the talented children of Stratton ABC Foundation. The last few projects have included papier mache and other craft classes. Here is our volunteer, K. Poon, leading a workshop in drawing/art therapy with both hands (to help strengthen the children’s motor skills and to help them move out of their usual comfort zone) while I painted a wooden cutting board which director, John Cope will recycle into a little coffee table (available for sale, see Stratton’s post on the beautiful tables).

This July, K. Poon will conduct more craft workshops. Another ArtSpeak.org volunteer, Kimberly Bryant will also conduct a basic photography workshop. More fun ahead for the children! Contact me (Li Li) if you wish to donate any disposable cameras or help pay for the photo printing!

  1. Just want to say a big thanks to Li Li and Poon for some great workshops, highly recommended, the kids gain so much…not just new skills but confidence , personal development , therapy and more. One of the best things is that their workshops are designed to make the kids think for themselves as much as possible, exactly our approach here at Stratton House.
